Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, warns apparatus of Central Jakarta Administration about the use of the budget. He disclosed, budget absorption must not be oriented to wastage.

He disclosed many agencies have a huge budgets but their achievement is still minimal. This is because budget absorption is not proportional to the quality of the programs.

"I was often invited to the coordination meetings in star hotels. It's useless and just to spend the budget," said Djarot, after hearing the explanation on performance of Central Jakarta Administration, in the pattern room of Central Jakarta Mayor's Office, Monday (2/13).

He added budget absorption must be maximal, yet the most important is a program that is accurate, maximal and can be accounted for qualitatively and quantitatively.

Besides natural, he also said the achievement of budget absorption must be fair.

"No mark up. It is not seen from the absorption but its quality of the program. Just do it without coercion," he exclaimed.

As for the information, from total budget by Rp 325 billion in 2016, Central Jakarta managed to absorb 89.7 percent.
